Ice cold blue. So soft, so pure, so icy.
Oh my goodness this felt good! I haven't put this much effort into a photo since Toast
and even that didn't require as much as this did.
Okay, so what I did: First I took an artists traceing table, the kind that lights up nice and bright, put a couple of blue Post It notes on it and stuck it inside a blue grocery bag. Next I filled a glass with ice and water and set it on my light which was sitting on the dinning room table.
For the background I stole ~Corduroy-Dreamer
's blue work shirt and drapped it over a chair.
For the actual shot I adjusted my camera settings until I discovered that if I told the white balance that is was taking a photo under incandescent light it turned it blue!
Score one. But it wasn't quite bright enough so I turned on my flash creating a very nice effect, but still not enough.
Lastly I stuck one last blue Post It note OVER THE FLASH on my camera and snapped away.
And here you have the finished project. I think this is really a landmark, a real step up from my previous work. I'm really pleased with what I was able to create.
Furthermore this was inspired by and created for
